The Como Lakeside Pavilion in St. Paul, Minnesota is a multi-purpose venue located on the shore of the wonderfully gorgeous Lake Como. Among other ventures, Como Lakeside Pavilion has a new addition which is the Spring Café. An indoor/outdoor place to eat, drink, enjoy the city of St. Paul and Lake Como. Como Pavilion Happenings
There are many things to do down at the lakeside pavilion in St. Paul, MN. One of the most popular things the people of St. Paul enjoy at Lake Como and the Como Lakeside pavilion is taking in live music in the park. Here you can also book weddings, birthday parties, meetings, and other special events through the Spring Café.
Boat excursions are available from the pavilion as well as paddleboat rental, canoe, kayak, paddleboard, and Surrey Bike rentals. You can reserve one of these fun activities through Wheel Fun Rentals. The rental season begins in May and runs through the autumn. Rentals start at $13 per hour and go up to $30 per hour depending on what apparatus and or activity you chose. The boat excursions are $50 per hour. Your rentals help to support Step Up Achieve and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Annual memberships are available for a small fee. Wheel Fun Rental in St. Paul runs in partnership with Como Lakeside Pavilion.
Como Pavilion’s Big Announcement
The big announcement that everyone is talking about around the greater St. Paul, MN area is the opening of Spring Café at the Como Lakeside Pavilion. The Spring Café has been one of the most talked about new ventures in all of St. Paul this year. Como Dockside closed in November and up sprung Spring Café on April 12th. The café offers a definite American cuisine, almost picnic-like. One menu is a grab and go style of sandwiches, salads, ceviche, and others. The made to order menu has a lineup of Peterson Beef Chili, kimchi, elote dogs, beef brisket, pork, tacos, and much more. You can also grab some kegged cocktails, or beer and wine.
The idea at Como Lake Pavilions new café is to have food ready to go for those on the move, and also food for those who are there to relax and enjoy the beautiful lakeside ambiance. Only the indoor area is open to start, however, they are planning to open the outdoor counter and seating area as soon as the weather warms up a bit. They are also planning to open up the third counter during the hot summer months that will most likely serve dessert.
