A day of fun and sun at Cascade Bay Waterpark in Eagan, Minnesota.
I went with my sister, her husband, and two kids to Cascade Bay Waterpark last summer and we had a blast. The park will be officially opening soon on June 8th with a sneak preview weekend June 2nd and 3rd. This is a quick little reminder to everyone in the Eagan area or Minnesota for that matter of just how much fun there is to be had at Cascade Bay Waterpark.
First, we headed over to one of the seven waterslides and climbed up to take our first plunge down the chute. It was amazing my sister and her daughter went together while my nephew held his own. My sister’s husband Marion stayed landside to get all the action on camera. This was the kids first trip to a waterpark and they flat out loved it.
We tried our hand on all of the slides that Cascade Bay Waterpark in Eagan, MN had to offer. We enjoyed every single one of them and needless to say we all were smiling and laughing the entire time. There was one time down that Julia, my niece, had finished her trip down the slide and was wading in the water while Zach was tumbling down next and came crashing out from the slide right into her, she didn’t know what hit her. She’s a tough cookie and came up for air giggling and asked if we can go again.
After a couple of hours up and down the slides, we were ready to relax and soak up some Eagan sun so we moseyed on over to the leisure pool to take a breather. By this time Marion had taken a couple runs down the slides and joined us on the inner tubes to relax. This was much needed after we spent tons of energy up and down the waterslides for two hours. A nice thing about the leisure pool at Eagan’s best waterpark is you can simply roll off the innertube and refresh in the water if you get too hot.
By now we were ready for some food so we walked over to the Captain’s Galley concession area. We ordered some snacks for lunch and planned our next move for the day. It was decided that we would take a glide down Lazy River for a while. This was a nice part of the day rafting on the tube through the course of Lazy River. You can just lay back and let the current take you wherever the wind blows.
We got out of the water again and were ready for a land adventure. It was time for a family tournament of miniature golf. We strolled over to the Captain’s Course and tried our luck with the maze of holes. Julia and Zach tied for the O’Brien Family Miniature Golf Championship but fun was had by all at Eagan, Minnesota’s Cascade Bay Waterpark.
The park is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on preview weekend and 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. during the Regular Season.
