Restoring and Nurturing the Human Spirit, through Art Nature and Community.
That is what Caponi Art Park is about. The people of Eagan are proud of this establishment and welcome anyone who would like to come and experience this beautiful, creative, entity. They have book tours and performances on 60 acres of rolling wandering land which makes one feel at peace and serene outside of Eagan’s scene.
The park began as the work of one person and now has become a thriving organization widely embraced by the Eagan community.
Anthony Caponi founded his namesake park with the sense of it being an outdoor laboratory for demonstrating and teaching how creativity could become an essential part of living. Mr. Caponi spent 60 years sculpting and shaping his life’s passion. Like Mikel Jollett’s song “All I Ever Wanted” Caponi spent his life nurturing his dream and vision, and it has been an amazing benefit to those who’ve experienced it since the park opened to the public in 1987.
