Grand Opening
The Bell Museum is coming soon to St. Paul, Minnesota. There will be a grand opening weekend kickoff party from July 13-15th beginning with the opening night celebration gala on Friday, July 13th from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. The event will feature an eclectic mix of music, sneak previews of things to come such as the Whitney and Elizabeth Planetarium, as well as Do it Yourself art projects. Tickets are on sale in May with pre-ordering available for members.
On Saturday, July 14th the museum will be open all day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. This will be an epic day here in St. Paul. There will be plenty to see and do such as building your own Diorama which you can take home. You can also participate in hands-on science demos all around the museum, while the Whitney and Elizabeth Planetarium premiers its original production of Minnesota in the Cosmos, right here in St. Paul. From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. you can try your hand at any of the free “learning experiences” in the outdoor Learning Landscape area.
Sunday will be a continuation of Saturday’s festivities beginning at 10 a.m. and finishing up at 5 p.m. You’ll be able to get involved in sketching activities. The Sunday event will provide the St. Paul, MN public the opportunity to meet some of the museum’s curators and mingle with resident scientists and researchers around the museum as well.
Youth Camps
The Bell Museum will be offering Youth Camps starting on June 11th and running to August 31st. There will be a variety of camps for students in Kindergarten through grade 8. The cost of a full day camp is $350 for the week ($320 for members) and half day camps are $180 per week ($150 for members). Bell Museum membership can be purchased for $95.
*Camp Scholarships are available to Minnesota residents who are on the free or reduced lunch programs.
School Tours/Field Trips
The Bell Museum in St. Paul will be hosting school tours and field trips beginning August 1st. You can book a gallery tour, planetarium experience, or a science lab day. Or, if you don’t want to leave your school grounds you can book a day with the Traveling Exploradome. Explore science and the universe with one of the Bell Museum’s live and interactive programs.
Private Rental
The Bell Museum in St. Paul can be rented for private parties, weddings, birthdays, and luncheons. There are five different areas of the Bell which can be rented out, or you can rent the entire building. Also, there is catering available from local St. Paul eateries if you so desire.
